Zetwerk Secures $3.1 B Valuation After A Fresh Funding Round of $70 Million
Zetwerk, a contract manufacturing marketplace, has secured $70 million in fresh funding at a $3.1 billion valuation. IndiGo Airlines Co-founder Rakesh Gangwal and Khosla Ventures spearheaded the investment round with participation from existing investors Baillie Gifford, Greenoaks, and Avenir Growth as well.
This latest capital infusion follows a $20 million raise in March 2024, bringing Zetwerk's total fundraising for 2024 to $90 million. Since its inception in 2018, the company has raised $740 million.
The Zetwerk Co-founder and CEO Amrit Acharya highlighted the persistent challenges in the manufacturing sector, including delays, cost overruns, and quality control issues. He noted that recent geopolitical developments have prompted countries to diversify their supply chains, creating new complexities in the manufacturing landscape. The company plans to channel the latest investment into strengthening its core business operations in the aerospace and consumer electronics sectors.
Regarding its plans, the CEO also said that Zetwerk aims to position itself as a strategic partner for global clients looking to navigate near-shoring or on-shoring initiatives. They would be able to achieve this mission because the company has already built a substantial customer base of over 2,000 clients across North America, Europe, and India.
