Urban Company has jumped into Mumbai's quick commerce race with its new Insta Maids service, promising household help within just 15 minutes of booking. Launched quietly last month on the company's app, the service currently operates in limited Mumbai neighborhoods as the company gauges customer response.

Customers pay ₹49 per hour for comprehensive household services - everything from washing dishes and sweeping floors to mopping and meal prep work. The company's marketing doesn't mince words with advertisements declaring, "Your maid left you hanging? We leave your home spotless!" Urban Company has tapped influencers for sponsored content across Instagram and Facebook to build buzz.

The service marks Urban Company's strategic entry into India's increasingly competitive quick commerce battlefield. It's not alone in this niche - rival startup Snabbit also offers rapid home services in select Mumbai areas after recently securing $5.5 million in Series A funding.

Quick commerce has exploded beyond its grocery roots in India. What started with Swiggy Instamart and Zepto delivering groceries now includes platforms shipping electronics, gold jewelry, and ready-to-eat meals through ventures like Blinkit's Bistro and Swiggy's Snacc.

Fashion and beauty retailers have joined the rush, too. Myntra recently debuted M-Now, promising to deliver clothing and beauty products within half an hour – further evidence that India's shopping habits are undergoing a fundamental shift toward immediate gratification across virtually all retail categories.
