SpotDraft Lands $54M to Supercharge AI Contract Management Tools
Legal tech startup SpotDraft just closed a massive $54 million Series B round, showing investors are betting big on AI-powered contract management. Vertex Growth Singapore and Trident Partners spearheaded the funding, and several other heavy hitters joined in, including Xeed VC, Arkam Ventures, Prosus Ventures, and Premji Invest.
This latest cash injection comes from their $26 million Series A round from March 2023, highlighting the rapidly growing appetite for smart legal tech solutions.
"2025 is going to be a game-changer for us," SpotDraft CEO and co-founder Shashank Bijapur told us. He's particularly fired up about doubling their AI capabilities: "Beyond just growing our footprint and team, we're going all-in on AI innovation to help legal teams work smarter, not harder."
The company's platform is already gaining traction with features like AI-powered contract redlining, e-signatures, and document management —basically, everything in-house legal teams need to streamline their workflow in one place.
With offices in Bengaluru and New York and over 250 employees, SpotDraft isn't resting on its laurels. It's on a dynamic recruitment spree and looking for top-tier talent to join its leadership ranks.
The current funding round will translate into a broader shift in the legal industry. Other legal firms are also waking up to the possibility of AI transforming traditionally manual processes. As businesses race to digitize their legal operations, SpotDraft seems well-positioned to ride this wave — and now it has the war chest to match its ambitions.
The real question is: can they deliver on their promise to revolutionize how legal teams handle contracts? With this kind of backing, they've certainly got a shot.
