Reliance Jio Partners with Confluent to Advance GenAI Capabilities in India
Reliance Jio Platforms Limited, led by India's richest billionaire, Mukesh Ambani, has announced a strategic partnership with US-based data streaming technology company Confluent to advance generative AI capabilities across India's digital landscape.
Under the agreement, Confluent Cloud will be integrated into Jio Cloud Services as a managed service platform, offering enterprise-grade security and governance for consumers and businesses, including public-sector organizations. The partnership will implement four key streaming service principles: streaming, connecting, processing, and governing data.
Kiran Thomas, President and CEO of Jio Platforms Limited emphasized the significance of data streaming in today's evolving digital environment. The collaboration comes at a crucial time, as highlighted by the 2024 Data Streaming Report, which reveals strong confidence in data streaming technology among IT leaders in India. According to the report, 94 percent of IT leaders believe data streaming platforms enhance product development, while 95 percent recognize its potential for driving AI innovation.
