Manufacturing and supply chain startup Groyyo has acquired a 51% stake in US-based Oussum Inc. The acquisition signals Groyyo's ambitious foray into the America's retail and fashion market. The Gurugram-based company hopes to have significant growth in the hugely competitive US retail landscape.

The deal positions Groyyo to offer end-to-end design-to-delivery services across the United States. They will leverage Oussum's existing retail presence in major chains, including Target, Walmart, Burlington, and TJ Maxx. Groyyo will focus on scaling private labels 'Oussum' and 'Gypsie Blu' through both offline and online channels across North America.

"Over the last four years, we've been building a backward-integrated supply chain for fashion and apparel across South Asia," said Subin Mitra, Groyyo's Co-founder and CEO. "With the current dynamics of fast fashion in the US, we see an opportunity to provide comprehensive shelf-to-warehouse solutions."

Oussum Inc. CEO Amit Bansal expressed confidence in the partnership, noting three years of prior collaboration. "Our combined synergies across manufacturing and retail position us to build a leading fast fashion presence," Bansal stated.

Financial projections indicate substantial growth potential. The combined US operations are expected to close in March 2025 with $8 million in revenue, with an ambitious target of reaching $100 million by fiscal year 2028. Groyyo plans to capitalize on its strong South Asian sourcing network and newly established US warehousing infrastructure.

The acquisition underscores Groyyo's strategic approach to expanding its global footprint, bridging manufacturing capabilities from South Asia with retail opportunities in the United States.
