Tech giant Google has inaugurated one of its most prominent global offices in Bengaluru's Mahadevapura area. Named 'Ananta,' Sanskrit for "infinite," the new campus showcases the company's commitment to sustainable architecture and its expanding presence in India.

The facility features state-of-the-art sustainability measures, including comprehensive wastewater recycling, rainwater harvesting systems, and one of India's largest installations of electrochromic glass. The building's design incorporates locally sourced materials and follows a city grid layout with dedicated neighborhoods for focused work.

At the heart of the campus is 'Sabha,' which is a central gathering space. It is designed in such a way that it fosters collaboration and community interaction among all the employees. Undoubtedly, Google has devoted a lot of time and effort to the design because they genuinely reflect Google's vision of blending traditional Indian elements without compromising on modern workplace design.

"Google has been India's proud partner over the last 20 years as the country has charted an ambitious new reality for its citizens through technology," said Preeti Lobana, Vice President and Country Manager of Google India. She emphasized the company's focus on driving AI adoption across agriculture, healthcare, and fintech sectors.

Ananta couldn't have opened at a better time in India because India's tech ecosystem is currently at its peak. It is experiencing rapid growth, marked by a thriving startup culture and innovative digital public infrastructure. The facility represents Google's latest investment in India's technological future and its growing role in the company's global operations.

The campus is expected to serve as a hub for Google's expanding work in artificial intelligence and its collaborations with India's research and startup communities.
