AmpereHour Energy has raised $5 million in a funding round led by Avaana Capital, with participation from UC Impower and existing angel investors. The energy storage startup will use the fresh capital to deploy its energy solutions, expand manufacturing capabilities, and boost research and development activities.

This latest investment brings AmpereHour Energy's total funding to $7.45 million, following a previous raise of $2.45 million from angel investors.

Founded in 2017 by Ayush Misra, Rahul Shelke, Harshal Thakur, and Neehar Jathar, AmpereHour Energy develops and deploys modular, scalable battery energy storage systems (BESS) enhanced by proprietary software. The company has already commissioned over 40 MWh of energy storage projects, with approximately 1000 MWh currently under execution.

The startup's ELINA Energy Management Software optimizes battery performance and enables flexible utilization across various applications, from utility-scale grid storage projects to commercial and industrial installations. AmpereHour Energy also offers turnkey EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) services for battery storage implementation.

"The global advanced energy storage systems market is growing exponentially, and India is poised to become a major hub for this industry," said Ayush Mishra, Co-founder and CEO of AmpereHour Energy. "The current investment round led by Avaana Capital, alongside UC Impower, is another vote of confidence in AmpereHour Energy's expertise and ability to create technological innovation and deliver projects at scale."

The company has built an impressive client portfolio, including Indigrid, Cummins, Siemens, Coca-Cola, Amazon, Yellow Door (UAE), and BRPL, among others. The vast client list clearly demonstrates the growing demand for battery storage solutions across sectors.

Founding Partner at Avaana Capital - Anjali Bansal, talked about the investment, "AmpereHour Energy's comprehensive, software-driven approach to energy storage is the type of innovation we need to drive the energy transition ahead. Their focus on economic flexibility, modularity, and long-term reliability aligns perfectly with our mission to invest in strong climate-focused solutions."

The funding comes as grid-scale energy storage solutions gain importance in stabilizing renewable energy integration, managing peak load demands, and enhancing overall grid reliability. Battery storage technology has become increasingly critical for renewable energy adoption, as it addresses intermittency issues and enables better utilization of solar and wind generation capacity.
