EaseMyTrip has appointed Rikant Pittie as its new CEO, effective immediately, following a board meeting held on January 1, 2025. Pittie, who previously served as the company's Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director, will now lead the online travel platform as CEO and Key Managerial Personnel.

The appointment comes after former CEO Nishant Pitti resigned for personal reasons. Reports suggest that he plans to sell his remaining 14.21% stake in the company in a block deal valued at approximately Rs 780 crore.

Rikant Pittie, co-founder and core promoter of EaseMyTrip, brings nearly 15 years of experience in the travel, tourism, HR, and technology sectors to his new role. The leadership transition occurs as the company navigates challenging market conditions.

In its recent financial performance, EaseMyTrip reported flat growth for the second quarter of fiscal year 2025. The company's revenue (less service cost) showed minimal growth at Rs 131 crore, compared to Rs 130.7 crore in the same period last year. Under IFRS standards, while revenue from operations reached Rs 145 crore, profits declined by 42.6% to Rs 27 crore from Rs 47 crore in Q2 FY24.
