BrainSight AI Secures $5 Million in Pre-Series A Funding to Expand Neural Diagnostic Solutions
Bengaluru-based deep-tech neuroscience startup BrainSight AI has raised $5 million in a pre-Series A funding round led by IAN Alpha Fund. IvyCap Ventures, Silver Needle, and existing investors participated. The company, which raised $925,000 from Pfizer and others, plans to use the fresh capital for expansion and research enhancement.
Founded in 2019 by Laina Emmanuel and Rimjhim Agrawal, BrainSight AI combines artificial intelligence with neuroscience to improve the precision of neurological and psychiatric diagnostics. The company's technology maps macro-scale neural connections in the brain to enable more accurate diagnosis and prognosis of neuro-oncological and neuropsychiatric disorders.
The startup's product suite includes Voxelbox, an fMRI processing engine with machine-learning capabilities for clinicians, and Snowdrop, a patient care app designed to manage treatment schedules and build comprehensive patient profiles.
BrainSight AI currently partners with over 40 leading hospitals across India, primarily working with neurosurgery and radiology departments on brain tumor cases. The company is now expanding its focus to include broader neurological and psychiatric disorders, which will obviously lead to comprehensive brain care solutions.
The new funding will support BrainSight's ambitious expansion plans. They will strengthen their presence in numerous Indian Tier I and II cities. Apart from local expansion, they also plan on a global expansion in Africa, Southeast Asia, and the United States.
Undoubtedly, this investment marks a significant step in BrainSight AI's mission to revolutionize neurological diagnostics and treatment planning through advanced technology integration.
