A fresh chapter in online education unfolds as Aakash Chaudhry, the former CEO of Aakash Educational Services, unveils Sparkl, an AI-enhanced tutoring platform targeting international curricula. The venture, backed by tech industry heavyweights Nithin Kamath and Deepinder Goyal, aims to revolutionize personalized education for IGCSE and IB students.

Sparkl, which breaks away from traditional classroom models, offers one-on-one virtual tutoring to address a crucial gap in personalized education. It has already onboarded a global network of educators from India, Australia, Singapore, and the United Kingdom.

What sets Sparkl apart is its comprehensive year-long subject packages, priced between ₹2 and 3 lakh, designed to provide intensive academic support. Sparkl focuses on the international market, where such premium educational services are in high demand.

In this venture, Chaudhary has collaborated with Pavan Chauhan, the co-founder of Meritnation.com. They have contrasting experiences in the edtech space, offline and online. Sparkl's emphasis on AI technology suggests a move toward more sophisticated, data-driven teaching methods.

Despite significant shifts following the post-pandemic decline in online learning demand, Sparkl's focus on virtual learning positions it uniquely in the current edtech landscape.

Sparkl's launch comes at an intriguing time when many edtech companies are shutting shop or pivoting back to physical classrooms. However, Sparkl is doubling down on the online model, arguing that virtual learning provides better access to global teaching talent while maintaining cost efficiency.

As Sparkl begins its operations in Indian and Asian markets, it represents a new wave of specialized education platforms targeting specific segments of the global education market.
